Tattenhall to Christleton (Shropshire Union Canal)

Last night we went over to Tattenhall Marina to see our friends John, Sharon and Smuggler the dog.  It was lovely to see them again.  Paul and Jane and their dog Skipper were also there, they moor on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal and are also in Tattenhall Marina this week blacking their boat.
We had a drink sat outside and then went to the bar which is on the marina.  We all had Slingsbury Rhubarb Gin which was really nice and then Kev and I also had a Brockmans which was nice as well.  It was great to spend an evening together and hopefully we will catch up with then on the network again soon.
Passing a long line of boats

Coming into Christleton
The sun was shining again as we left our mooring and chugged off along the canal on a very warm morning.  We went under a couple of bridges and then went by lots of moored boats which seemed to go on and on.

Lovely flowers outside the Church

Eventually we were past the moored boats and chugged on and after a few miles came to Christleton where we moored up outside the Cheshire Cat pub.

Christleton
We went for a walk up into the village of Christleton which is a nice village, not much there but it does have a shop and it is a nice walk.

We went past the church where there had been a flower service and picnic in the grounds but they were packing up as we went by, so we didn't bother going in today but will do so on our next visit.

We walked through the village, back to the bridge and then back to the boat.

We are just chilling out today here and then getting the bus to Chester tomorrow. We will then head down the locks on Tuesday and moor in Chester.
