Queens Head to Weston Arm - Montgomery Canal

Off along the secret canal
Coming to a bridge
We are moving back up a bit further today so we set off mid-morning and it was another warm dry day, but more windy today.

Another bridge up ahead
We went on along the canal passing the Rednal Arm and then coming to the narrow straight section.  It actually didn’t seem so narrow as it did on the way down and we didn’t pass any boats so that was good.

In a Secret World
Back over Perry Aqueduct
We chugged on and then was approaching the Graham Palmer lock which is only a few inches deep.  It didn’t take long to go through there and we went around a bend, under a bridge and then we were at the Weston arm.  There was a hire boat getting water and then then moved on and we went in and moored up in the moorings before the water point.

We are staying here tonight as we are off back up the locks tomorrow and have to be ready between 12 noon and 2pm and these are the last moorings before the locks which are just around the corner, it is nice here very peaceful as there are no roads nearby.
