Visit to Milton Keynes, Evening with John & Sharon at Atherstone

Thursday 28th June

Gin Time!!

We are off to Milton Keynes today, so we walked up to the station and got the train.  It was about a 20 minute walk to the shops from the train station.

The shopping centre is huge and really well laid out, we had a good wander around and there was also an outside permanent market so lots to see.  We stopped in M&S for a bit of lunch then had another wander around.  Milton Keynes was okay and we enjoyed our visit.

When we got back to the boat, our friends John, Sharon and Smuggler were moored in front of us.  We thought they would catch us up and it was nice to see them again.  We spent a very nice evening together drinking gin and chatting, Smugs made his self comfy on the dinette as usual!

Friday 29^th June

Me and Smugs

We are staying here again today so we had breakfast then we all walked up into the town, there was a market which only had three stalls but one was a fruit and veg so we got a couple of things, we then made a stop at the butchers, it is really good and very friendly.  We had a wander through the town and then we all made our way back to the canal.  We chilled out in the afternoon as it was another hot day.  In the evening Sharon, John and Smuggler came into our boat and we had some wine, we had rather a lot of gin last night so decided to take it easy tonight!  John and Sharon will be going early tomorrow morning so we said our goodbyes, although we may see them again depending how far they get tomorrow.
