Off We Go |
We are on the move today and it was a nice bright morning as
we set off from our mooring. We went under
a bridge, past the Ellesmere Arm and stopped at the services.
Once the water tank was full, we headed off along the canal,
this section is quite bendy, we met one or two boats coming the other way but
the canal is still pretty quiet.

We then came to Frankton Junction, the junction with the
Montgomery canal. This canal is navigable
for about 6 miles and we will go down there on our return.
We went on a bit further and moored up in a nice quiet open
spot before Bridge 4W.

Cows by the canal |
We had lunch then went for a walk along the towpath to the
pub, The Narrow boat where there is also a boat hire place. We walked to the next bridge and did a few
caches, then walked back to the pub and called in for refreshments. It is a nice pub and the chap was very
friendly. We asked about the bus to
Oswestry and he gave us a timetable and told us where to wait for the bus, very
kind of him.
We walked back to the boat and then chilled out. We are staying here tonight and then moving
on tomorrow.
