Saturday 29th to Sunday 31st May – Floating market
The market was over three days and there were 11 trading boats selling everything from wooden products, candles, fairy houses to hand painted wine glasses, cheese and pizza.
We all had a very good market and lots of people came to see us over the three days, the sun shone as well so that always helps. I took these photos before the market started so thats why the towpath looks deserted but it soon filled up when the market opened.
We did very well and sold lots of things and got a few orders so that should keep Kev busy for a bit. The local Town Crier who lives opposite where we were moored dressed up in all his finery and came over and walked up and down the market. Unfortunately he is not allowed to do his usual speech at the moment.
This was only the second market we have done but we really enjoyed it. On the Monday evening we had a traders get together and we all sat outside on the grassy bank opposite where the market was held in the lovely evening sunshine drinking and chatting, it was nice to chat to everyone.
