Yelvertoft to Crick (Leicester Arm - Grand Union Canal)

We are just going a couple of miles again today and stopping at Crick.  We set off and stopped at the water point to fill up with water and get rid of some rubbish, then chugged off along the canal, past Yelvertoft Marina.  The canal is still very quiet and we only saw a couple of boats going the other way.

Crick Marina
It took us less than an hour and we were at Crick.  We moored opposite the marina.  We had the pick of the moorings today as it was very quiet here at Crick not like when we were here a few weeks ago, there was boats and people everywhere, you can certainly tell the holiday season is over, not that we are complaining, the canals are much nicer when it is quieter.

Crick Post Office
We had lunch, then walked up to the village to the post office as I needed to get some stamps, etc.  We then walked on to the Co-op to get a few provisions, then walked back to the canal and had a drink at The Moorings bar/restaurant.  We sat outside but it has been very overcast today and not very warm.  We had a few spots of rain while we were sat by the canal but luckily it didn’t come to anything.

We walked back to the boat and just chilled out for the rest of the day.  We are staying here tonight but moving on again tomorrow.
